The discussion will focus on Personalization at Scale—leveraging emerging AI capabilities to drive growth beyond the efficiencies widely covered in the media. Leaders who use AI to empower, understand, and delight customers are creating competitive advantages and improving top-line performance.

Drawing from his upcoming co-authored book, Personalized: Customer Strategy in the Age of AI, David Edelman will share insights from companies leading the charge in personalization, followed by actionable strategies to begin your own journey. The session includes a 30-minute talk by David Edelman, followed by an interactive discussion with David Dintenfass and Sneha Narahalli.

David C. Edelman
Senior Lecturer of Business Administration, Harvard Business School

David C. Edelman is a sought-after advisor on digital transformation and marketing strategy. He has developed foundational business concepts, including The Customer Decision Journey and Segment-of-One Marketing. Most recently, David guided Aetna (now part of CVS Health) in its transformation into a digitally-oriented, customer-centric enterprise.

He has been recognized by Forbes as one of the “Most Influential CMOs in the World” and by AdWeek as one of the “Top 20 Marketing and Technology Executives.” His writing and work have garnered over 1.1 million followers on LinkedIn, and he has delivered keynote presentations at numerous conferences worldwide.

Currently, David is a senior lecturer in Marketing at Harvard Business School. He also advises CEOs in the health and marketing services sectors, focusing on the transformational opportunities that AI and personalization offer. David serves on the board of Stratatech, a vocational school chain, through his relationship with Halifax Partners, reflecting his strong interest in education.

Prior to his time at Aetna, David built practices at The Boston Consulting Group, Digitas, and McKinsey & Company, specializing in global digital transformation.
 

David Dintenfass
President, Enterprise Growth, Humana Inc.

David Dintenfass joined Humana in February 2024 as President of Enterprise Growth. In this role, he leads the company's growth strategy, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and experience. David is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in general management, marketing, and sales across consumer banking, wealth and asset management, and consumer-packaged goods. He is a member of Humana's Management Team, reporting directly to President and CEO Jim Rechtin.

Before joining Humana, David held various leadership roles at Fidelity Investments from 2015 to 2024. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Head of Product and Emerging Segments, overseeing a P&L portfolio across retail and workplace investing. He also served as Fidelity’s Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Customer Experience Design. Earlier in his career, David spent more than five years at Bank of America in strategic and marketing roles within Consumer and Small Business Banking and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and later spent 13 years at Procter & Gamble in global P&L and brand management roles.

David holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with High Distinction as a Baker Scholar. He also earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations with Highest Honors from Brown University.
 


Sneha Narahalli
Vice President, Customer Experience, Sephora

Sneha Narahalli is a technology leader transforming the industry through innovative and streamlined product development. Raised in India in a family of writers, she has channeled her creativity to drive targeted business outcomes. After moving to the United States to pursue her master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University, Sneha has led the development of next-generation strategies for major companies such as Sears, Walmart, and Sephora.

At Sephora, Sneha oversees all aspects of product development and user experience, encompassing digital platforms, physical stores, data management, partnerships, machine learning, GenAI, and marketing technology. In addition, she leads technology investment and prioritization for the company.

Despite being an introvert and adapting to a new culture, Sneha has stayed true to her authentic self, continually enhancing her efficiency through learning and unlearning. She is committed to raising awareness of the biases women face in various environments and working collaboratively to eliminate these challenges. Sneha recognizes the power of the written word and is dedicated to using it as a tool for positive change.
 

                                                    

Paul Baier
CEO and Co-Founder, GAI Insights
Event Moderator

Paul Baier is the CEO and co-founder of GAI Insights, an industry analyst firm dedicated to helping companies maximize value from GenAI. With two decades of experience as a software entrepreneur, Paul has held executive roles at multiple VC-backed startups. Notably, he served as Vice President of Product for five years at FirstFuel Software, an enterprise AI company.

Paul holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Kenyon College. He is the co-author of the Harvard Business Review article, "Where Should Your Company Start with GenAI?"
