About this Event
Ranch Kimball started at Boston Consulting Group as a newly minted Princeton AB in 1980. He was a manager at BCG by 1985, and a partner by 1993. While continuing as a senior advisor at BCG, he pivoted to perilous high-profile public servant roles, in all of which he rescued and relaunched the patient.
Ranch will give you insights into the elements that drove the success of our two innovation districts—Kendall Square in Cambridge and the Seaport in Boston. He will touch on the RFP process that led to Wheelock’s rescue and continuation as a school within BU. He will reflect on his roles in state government in both Republican and Democratic administrations. Ranch will describe righting the ship at Joslin Diabetes Center, both the administration and the billion-dollar building project.
Ranch has been a leader in many, if not most, of the major innovation initiatives in the Boston area in education, government, healthcare, technology, and transportation for 20 years. He is truly the renaissance man that Boston needed.
